Temporary art: 'The Tower Well'
For one night, art by Ben Wood will be projected on the water tower building on Alma Street and Hawthorne Avenue. The projection, "The Tower Well," showcases Palo Alto's role in the advent of the motion picture and California history. Family movie night: 'The Secret World of Arrietty'
Atherton Library will show "The Secret World of Arrietty" for its family movie night today, Aug. 31, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Doors open at 6:45 p.m at 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane, Atherton. The animated film follows the Clock family, 4-inch-tall people living secretly inside a house, borrowing things to make their home.
