Oaks end season with loss at World Series

The Palo Alto Oaks were eliminated from the Stan Musial World Series on Thursday, losing, 8-4, to the St. Petersburg Black Sox in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

The Oaks lost, 11-1, to the Oswego Wildcats of Illinois on Wednesday.

The Oaks (19-8) were one of four teams eliminated from the World Series, which was played at the spring training home of the New York Mets.
