Music: Livewire
The six-piece "party band" Livewire, which covers songs from the '70s and '80s through today, will give a free concert from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, Aug. 10, on downtown Redwood City's Courthouse Square. Kids: Summer Reading Carnival
The Atherton Library is hosting a carnival to mark the end of this summer's reading club at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 10. Games, ice cream, a bounce house and a performance by local kids' entertainer Daffy Dave are planned for the event at 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane. Admission is free. Go to smcl.org.
