Music: Kenny Barron and Friends
Jazz pianist Kenny Barron has been associated with many names in jazz, including Dizzy Gillespie and Stan Getz. Joining him onstage will be trumpet master Terell Stafford and longtime SJW faculty and alumnus Dayna Stephens. They will play tomorrow, July 31, at 8 p.m. in Dinkelspiel Auditorium, Stanford. The event is $42 for premium, $36 for regular and $15 for students. Go to events.stanford.edu.

Harry McCracken, editor-at-large at TIME, moderates a discussion about the art of marketing technology, Steve Jobs, Apple and the secret to its success. The event is tomorrow, July 31, at 1 p.m. at the Computer History Museum, 1401 Shoreline Blvd., Mountain View. Go to computerhistory.org.
