Middle linebacker Peter Kalambayi, from Butler High in North Carolina, verbally committed to Stanford following his visit to the school Saturday.

Kalambayi, a 4.0 student, had over 20 offers to consider. He was originally leaning toward Clemson and had visited Virginia Tech, North Carolina and Oklahoma earlier in the year.

He became the fifth member of the class of 2013 to commit to the Cardinal. Wide receiver Francis Owusu gave his verbal commitment last weekend.
