Andrew Luck, the NFL's top draft pick from 2012 and Stanford's graduating star quarterback, talks about starting his career as a professional football player with the Indianapolis Colts and reflects on his time at Stanford in this exclusive one-on-one interview.
In conversation with Lisa Van Dusen, Luck discusses his transition from college football to the National Football League, Palo Alto to Indianapolis, and college student to college grad with a job. Luck shares his thoughts on his decision to finish at Stanford instead of going pro sooner, his leadership on and off the field and how he stays on course -- in football and life.
In the midst of completing his final projects before Stanford graduation, Luck leans back, laughs and ponders growing up in the Luck family, his time at Stanford and what went though his mind when he heard his named called at the draft in New York. In this brief interlude without a jersey, he ponders the future and reflects on the past.

It was a pleasure to talk with him as he reflected on his time at Stanford and looked ahead to a new phase of life with the Colts.

Bob Wenzlau is a member (registered user) of Palo Alto Online Great interview. What is remarkable through the interview is the holistic view we get of Andrew, but also his family and the community. I thought it was delightful how you lifted up his history and studies at Stanford to round him out. Again, what a gracious guy, who leads but also cares about his teammates, classmates and family.
