The Stanford women's tennis team will play its final home match of the season Wednesday at 11:30 a.m., but the scene will be the Ojai Valley Athletic Club instead of the more familiar surroundings of Taube Family Tennis Center.

Fifth-ranked Stanford (8-1, 17-1) will be making up its match with the Cougars (6-3, 18-5), originally scheduled for March 25 but rained out, to determine a share of the Pac-12 league title with USC.

No. 31 Washington State finishes fifth, win or lose.

The contest was canceled due to a Pac-12 rule requiring the visiting team to play its first road match on a weekend schedule if rained out. In this case, Washington State's Saturday match against California in Berkeley was rained out, so those teams played on that Sunday.

The top four teams entered the final weekend of regular season play each with one loss in the conference. Stanford held off No. 10 California, 4-3, with Nicole Gibbs clinching the win at No. 1 singles, while the fourth-ranked Women of Troy avenged two earlier losses to top-ranked UCLA with a 6-1 win over the Bruins.

USC's only conference loss was to Stanford.

The Pac-12 singles and doubles tournament begins Thursday with the Round of 32 and continues through Sunday. The first three rounds will be held at the Ojai Valley Athletic Club and Sunday's singles and doubles championship matches will be held at Libbey Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.

In the latest singles rankings, Gibbs is at No. 4, Mallory Burdette follows at No. 5, Stacey Tan is at No. 54 and Ellen Tsay is at No. 61.

UCLA's Robin Anderson is the highest ranked Pac-12 player at No. 3, while defending national singles champion Jana Juricova of California is No. 6, followed by Bears' teammate Zsofi Susanyi at No. 11.

Also ranked among the top 100 are Arizona State's Jacqueline Cako (No. 15), USC's Danielle Lao (18), USC's Zoe Scandalis (20), Washington's Denise Dy (22), USC's Sabrina Santamaria (29), Washington State's Liudmila Vasilieva (53), Arizona's Lacey Smyth (55), Cal's Tayler Davis (57), USC's Kaitlyn Christian (75), Cal's Annie Goransson (79), Arizona's Natasha Marks (84), Cal's Anett Schutting (93) and UCLA's McCall Jones (96).
