$20K taken in Mountain View home burglary
Safe with jewelry and cash stolen from Villa Street house March 12
|
A safe containing an assortment of jewelry and more than $20,000 in cash was taken from a house in the 1600 block of Villa Street in Mountain View Monday, March 12, police said.
Sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., someone forced open a rear door leading into a bedroom, according to Liz Wylie, a spokeswoman for the Mountain View police. The home was in disarray and appeared to have been rummaged through, Wylie said in an email to the Mountain View Voice.
The home had an alarm system, but it was not armed, Wylie said.
Investigators said they do not believe the crime is related to a March 9 burglary, when a safe containing more than $40,000 was taken from a Mountain View apartment.— Mountain View Voice staff Are you receiving Express, our free daily e-mail edition? See a sample and sign-up for Express.

The victim(s) talked about what was in those safes in order for their homes to be burlgarized without a doubt. Not everyone is your friend including relatives.

Posted by Ted, a resident of Mountain View, on Mar 14, 2012 at 2:32 pm Some Mountain Viewians don't pay taxes, since they are here illegally. The Day Worker Center works on a cash only basis. Palo Altans that frequent the joint should know that.
