The spotlight could not be any brighter for Palo Alto's Jeremy Lin, who has become a fan favorite and media sensation as a starting point guard for the New York Knicks.

Just over a week ago, the 23-year-old Palo Alto High School graduate was fighting for his NBA life as the Knicks' fourth point guard. Given the chance to play when New York lost key players to injury and saw its offense sputter, Lin responded to the challenge.

a 6th grade classmate describes Jeremy as having gone to 6th grade at King's Academy in Sunnyvale, a Christian private school.
