Meg Waite Clayton has published three novels, including "The Wednesday Sisters," which is set in Eleanor Pardee Park.

Clayton moved to Palo Alto's Community Center neighborhood in 2002, where she lives with her husband, two sons and literarily named dog, Frodo. Her first novel, "Language of Light," will be released in paperback at a launch event with the author on Tuesday, June 28, at 7: p.m. at Books Inc. at Town & Country Village in Palo Alto.

Clayton is a mergers-and-acquisitions attorney turned author whose books explore the nature of enduring female friendships.
