 | In late March, Jordan Middle School hosted a barn dance for students and parents following "folk dance week."
The week-long series of dances was led by Evo Bluestein as part of his folk-dance residency, which teaches middle-schoolers about community building. The event was the first of its kind for the school.

Posted by BarnDancer, a resident of the Barron Park neighborhood, on Apr 6, 2011 at 7:46 pm Great fun! I have fond memories of barn dances in the UK. I think we spent most of the time laughing, in stitches watching each other try to follow the dance steps.

Posted by Parent, a member of the Jordan Middle School community, on Apr 7, 2011 at 11:37 pm Thank you to the music teacher who pushed for this to come to Jordan (sorry, don't know name). It was a great learning experience for the students. When else would one learn folk dancing?
