Post-Katrina gathering set for Thursday

| Stanford University’s Memorial Church will host a community gathering at noon Thursday as a spiritual response to the Hurricane Katrina tragedy.
The gathering will include music, prayer and reflection, along with a call to action to help hurricane victims.
The event is being sponsored by the university’s Office of Religious Life in partnership with the Black Community Services Center and the chaplaincies of Stanford Hospital and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
Donations will be collected for the American Red Cross. — Don Kazak
