Posted by Fairmeadowmom, a resident of the Meadow Park neighborhood, on Nov 18, 2009 at 6:41 pm Yes, but even if Rojos was open I wouldn't go there! I was sitting there having coffee at Peets the other day and the owner (i guess it was ) was there in Rojos with her dog(!!) inside. Yuck. I love dogs, don't get me wrong, but that must violate some kind of health code, you know? I could see that she had the dog behind the counter, where the food prep is, and that is just SO wrong, in a restaurant!

Posted by Ugh, a resident of another community, on Nov 19, 2009 at 9:54 am I have never had particularly good service at Chipotle, and their food is mediocre. It's a chain that we don't need more of, imo.

Posted by Sarah, a resident of the Midtown neighborhood, on Nov 19, 2009 at 10:08 am The family-run Mexican restaurants seem to produce much better food for about the same price. I don't know why the Americanized chains are so popular.

Posted by To Sarah, a resident of East Palo Alto, on Nov 19, 2009 at 2:15 pm I agree with you re the food at family run restaurants serving Mexican dishes beign better than Chipotle. Recommendation: a drive thru place in EPA on the corner of University Avenue and Bay, across from the McDonalds. fast service, great prices, all items to go. Whole beans, their hot suace is the bomb. You can get a "naked burrito" - in reality, a platter, to cut down on carbs if you want. Worth a trip to the east side.
I have been to Chipotle's twice, disappointed each time. Bummer!
