It's been a special senior season for forward Kelley O'Hara, named the Pac-10 women's soccer Player of the Year, and named co-Player of the Year, with teammate Christen Press, on the Top Drawer Team of the Season.

O'Hara, who will lead the top-ranked Cardinal (21-0) into the second round of the NCAA tournament against BYU on Saturday at 1 p.m., received an official invitation, with 23 others, to attend the full United States' national team December training camp.

O'Hara has played for the U.S. internationally from the under-17 to the under-23 age groups.

Stanford grads Nicole Barnhart, a goalkeeper, and Rachel Buehler, a defender, were also invited to the camp. Both of them played on the U.S. Olympic gold-medal winning team in Beijing last summer.

O'Hara set Stanford season records for goals (23) and points (57) while leading the Cardinal, which scored its 71st and record-setting 72nd goal in Thursday night's 2-0 win over Northern Arizona, into the second round of the NCAA tournament.

The U.S. national training camp runs Dec. 5-15 at the Home Depot Center in Carson. It's the last gathering of the year for the U.S. women's team, which has gone 7-0-1 in full international matches in 2009. Of the invited players, 18 of them play in Women's Professional Soccer and six are collegians.

Another upcoming date of note for O'Hara is Jan. 15, 2010, the date of the WPS draft. O'Hara recently was selected among the projected top five picks by all five members of a special panel of soccer journalists.
