Kelley O'Hara set one school record, tied another, and the Stanford women's soccer team set another mark in beating visiting Arizona, 4-0, in a Pac-10 match on Sunday.

The top-ranked Cardinal (8-0, 19-0) clinched at least a title tie with the win, its first Pac-10 championship in seven years.

Stanford can win the title outright with a victory on Senior Day next Sunday at 1 p.m. against visiting California. The NCAA selection show will be carried by ESPNews on Monday, Nov. 9 at 5 p.m. (PT).

"It's a good feeling to win the Pac-10 title, but our main goal is the national title," said Paul Ratcliffe, who earned his first conference championship in 12 years as a collegiate head coach, including seven at Stanford. "It's a good accomplishment, we're happy about it, but we've still got to keep going."

O'Hara scored her 20th goal of the season, tying Sarah Rafanelli's school mark from 1993, in the 33rd minute. Alicia Jenkins sent a long through pass over the top of the Arizona defense, setting up O'Hara (who also recorded her 51st career goal) for a one-touch that sailed over the Wildcats' goalkeeper's head.

"It's nice," O'Hara said. "I'm a forward, so my job is to score goals. It's nice to feel like I've been doing that for the program. But, honestly, right now, it's not so much about the personal records."

O'Hara added an assist on Christen Press' goal early in the second half, giving her a single-season school record of 49 points. It was Press' 16th goal of the season.

O'Hara's next goal will match her with Olympian and former All-American Julie Foudy for second on the all-time list.

"We're 19-0, we're sharing the Pac-10 title and could win it outright, and we're going into the postseason," O'Hara said. "That's what I'm most excited for right now."

Mariah Nogueira got the Cardinal on the board in the 25th minute, heading a ball into an open net from three yards out after taking Press' corner kick.

Press moved within one of Marcie Ward's school record 14 assists. Castilleja grad Lindsay Taylor has 10 assists on the year.

Palo Alto grad Teresa Noyola finished the scoring with her fifth goal of the season. Noyola headed down on the ball just inside the left hand post after taking a picture perfect crossing pass from Kristin Stannard.

Kira Maker did not have to make a save in her eighth shutout, and the team's 11th shutout. She improved her Goals Against Average to 0.58.

Stanford, second in the nation with its 3.45 goals per game average, set a school mark with its 19th consecutive victory. It was also the Cardinal's 17th straight win at home.

Stanford needs five goals to match last year's school record of 71 set in 25 matches.

Men's soccer
Senior John Moore recorded seven saves in goal and the Stanford men's soccer team dueled host Washington to a scoreless draw in a Pac-10 match Sunday.

The 21st-ranked Cardinal (4-3-2, 10-4-2) moved into a first-place tie with UCLA, each with 10 points. The Bruins have played two fewer games, however, which will be evened this weekend.

Stanford's next, and final regular-season, match is Saturday, Nov. 14 against visiting California at 7 p.m.

The Huskies have played to five conference ties, and six overall. They outshot Stanford, 24-7, including a 7-2 edge on goal.

Adam Jahn and Cameron Lamming each had a shot on goal for Stanford.
