Flu vaccine shipping delay cancels a 'flu clinic'
Palo Alto Medical Foundation vaccination clinic at its Los Altos Center Oct. 17 to be rescheduled

Share
A shipping delay in this year's seasonal flu vaccine has forced cancellation of a "flu clinic" scheduled for Oct. 17 at the Los Altos Center of the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

A federal mandate to manufacturers to "ramp up production and shipment of the H1N1 flu vaccine" is at the root of the delay, PAMF officials said in announcing the delay of the regular vaccine.

"Although we do not expect any shortages of flu vaccine this season, we do not know when we will receive our next shipment of seasonal flu vaccine," PAMF announced. It will post updates on its website, www.PAMF.org.
