What's with all the tall guys robbing banks all of a sudden? Didn't a tall white guy rob a local bank last week? Now a tall black guy? The cops have to quit racially profiling and profile based on height instead.

Or install shorter doors and turn on the high resolution cameras activated by any one who has to duck?

I agree completely. The information that the criminal was black is unnecessary and probably is racist. If the perpetrator was truly black (which he or she probably wasn't) then the police are just trying to find a way to justify their racism.

By releasing the information that the supposed criminal was black, the police clearly demonstrate that they are still under the thrall of the societal racism that festers today as a just condemnation of the US.

There is every reason to believe that the supposed criminal was not black. It is only racist police who see everything in racial terms.

I doubt a crime was committed at all when you consider things from the perspective of social justice. Are not all banks just criminal co-conspirators in the perpetration of an ever ongoing injustice?

No doubt if someone really liberated money from the bank, it was an act of revolution. Who do you think had more money: the bank or the revolutionary hero who leaped over the counter?

If hte revolutionary hero really was black (which I doubt), the justice of his act and therefore his heroism is magnified by that fact.

The banks and wall street robber barons have created this recession/depression. And their evil dealings behind closed doors is far far worse than this robber. Not that I condone it, but there is no justice for the rich robbers, it is the poor who will alway pay.

The loss of jobs,and income trickels down to the least able to handle it. If you can't find a job, Have no health care and your family is starving I can see how one might use the strategy of robbing a bank.

Not the best strategy. Not too intelligent, but the underlying need for meaningful work is still there.

It is only going to get worse, until the masses rise up and

demand real change. The politicians hands are in the pot.

They won't change. They profit from the corruption.

also, papd STILL get militaristic if a non white person they stop doesent agree with what they say or their procedures.the danger is not over yet!

Saying that the cops shouldn't have released the fact that the suspect was black is laughable. It's part of the suspect's description the whole point of releasing that is so he can be caught, remember?

It really doesn't help that the description of a black man did it doesn't help for two reason.

When a similar crime was committed in San Mateo where a manager was killed-all caught on tape. A black man was dragged out of a drug progam and interrogated for the crime, but when all the smoke cleared it was actually a samoan man that confessed to the crime after caught. I know, because my friend was the one dragged from a darn drug program-no aplogies of course.

And two, people like me and my kids, with no records will sue if profiled by the police for breathing while black every time a crime is committed. Since it happens too much, I'm waiting patiently for it to happen to me-Laughable you were probably a victim or will be one soon, so you keep laughing!
