| From 94-year-old triple-jumper James Kales of Florida to 57-year-old archer Marilene Sisco of Colorado, the 2009 Senior Games athletes are competing in 24 different sports -- and inspiring each other along the way.
Palo Alto Online reporter Sue Dremann spoke with a few of the 10,000 athletes on Saturday about their accomplishments in the Games.
The Games continue at Stanford University and other local venues for one more week, concluding Aug. 15.
Schedules of the sporting events, which are free to watch, can be found at www.2009SeniorGames.org.
