I hate it when the stabbings get out of control.

Television shows make people numb to violence. There is no need to show dead bodies, blood and such gore on TV. It just promotes more violence.

Our entertainment media, in trying to get viewers and money, gets more and more graphically bloody and violent.

Why can't we as a group, figure out that our lives are impacted and become more violent. There has to be a way we get together to pressure the media back to responsible entertainment.

We live in a culture that seems to celebrate violence. Until we, as citizens, choose to act, the violence in the media and in our society will continue to escalate. Creating a Culture of peace takes work and ownership oof our society.

This takes me back to remembering why Bill Graham was the producer he was. His concerts, at Shoreline or elsewhere, were always safe, the venue clean, the fun kept fun. He was always on scene to make sure and we always knew that at Bill's concerts we and our kids could count on good security. It has been a sad passing from those years to the Live Nation crowd which just doesn't seem to get it when it comes to producing good shows. Bill must be rolling in his grave at what has happened to his legacy in this venue. Bill, we miss ya.

Don't blame our culture in general for this kind of thing. This was the result of a culture in particular-latino gangs. And they ruined the event for thousands of other ticket holders.

I was watching a KQED fundraiser featuring War a few weeks ago-and for a new membership a pair of tickets to this concert were part of the bonus. I love War but am already a KQED member-so I thought of buying tickets, but the guy on the show from KISS was talking about the details of this upcoming Shoreline concert, and the general marketing. It suddenly occured to me (and others-the ticket supply did not run out) the crowd might be a rough one and as a result did not buy tickets. Unfortunately I was right in my decision.

Wait, is the music group 'War' formerly Eric Burdon and War, from the 60's and 70's? Stabbings at an old school rock concert? Aren't most of their fans a bit too old for that nonsense?

Old school fiesta concert? What IS that? The articles in all the papers are not very informative. More information please. There has been a lot going on at Shoreline over recent months. Too bad, it's a nice venue to have people act so disrespectfully. I just don't get the point of gratuitous violence.

I don't know who was in charge of marketing, but they could have left 'Fiesta' off the ticket. I have been to many old school venue's and never in my life have they ever been referred to as Fiesta's.

Concert is the operative word.

I have a feeling it's going to be a long hot summer, and we are going to need ALL our law enforcement. I hope Arnold gets the budget right and leave our law enforcement alone. They have enough on their shoulders as it is.

At what point do Stabbings get out of control, I wonder?

I guess that group Kiss just ain't the way it sounds.

War, El Chicano ... does anyone know who else played there that day, and can you post the list. Does it say anything about the "stabbing crowd"?

This is my third time to post on this and some biased person at PAOL keeps deleting any record of it? Is there something wrong with my comment, question, I'd like to know what it is, and who is offended, if anyone?

And I wonder how many of the victims did not have insurance to cover the costs of emergency room?
