Woman, 38, dies in crash on Edgewood Road
Morning collision occurs just east of Interstate 280
|
A 38-year-old woman died after she slammed her car into a truck on Edgewood Road east of Interstate Highway 280 in unincorporated San Mateo County Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The woman was driving a BMW east on Edgewood Road when at about 7:45 a.m. she came around a curve, lost control of her car and crashed into a utility truck traveling west, CHP Officer Amelia Jack said.
The side of the BMW collided with the front of the truck and the woman was killed in the crash, according to Jack.
The truck driver and two passengers in the truck were not injured, Jack said.
The crash remains under investigation, but Jack said the slick roadway may have contributed to the collision.— Bay City News Service
