Menlo College's Cota named to All-West soccer team

Menlo College's Andrew Cota picked up another postseason award recently when he was named to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Continental Tire NAIA Men's All-West Region Team.

Cota was the lone member from Menlo College to earn this honor and one of three players from the Cal Pac to earn a place on the list.

Cota was dominant in his senior season at Menlo, notching a team-high 13 goals and seven assists for 33 total points and tied for the team lead in game winning goals with three. The Santa Clara native concluded his two-year stint at Menlo as the program's career leader in both points (75) and goals (32).

Earlier this postseason, Cota was named both First Team All-Cal Pac and a Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athlete. This is the first time in his career being named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire NAIA Men's All-West Region Team.

The NSCAA is the world's largest soccer coaches' organization with members at every level of the game.
