A 22-year-old East Palo Alto resident showed up in a hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound in his lower body on Thursday afternoon, according to East Palo Alto police.
Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Larkspur Avenue near Sage Street at 1:36 p.m. after the Shot Spotter gunfire detector was activated. Police did not find any victims at the scene.
A short time later, police learned that a gunshot victim arrived at a nearby emergency room. The victim was listed in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, police said. Detectives arrived at the scene, and a preliminary investigation is ongoing.
