A woman who was arguing with a man in a Palo Alto home on Wednesday allegedly set a fire in the house in an attempt to burn the structure down, a Palo Alto police spokesman said.
Police and fire personnel responded to a a call at 9:39 p.m. regarding the fire at a residence on Alma Street, according to a fire report.
The incident began as domestic violence after the man and woman began arguing, Officer Sean Downey said. The fire was small, he added.
Police could not release additional information because it is a domestic violence case, Downey said. The woman was booked into the San Jose Main Jail for domestic violence, arson and vandalism, he said.
