Four-star safety Brandon Simmons, a member of the class of 2014, verbally committed to Stanford University on Saturday, bootleg.com reported.
Simmons made visits to five schools in six days on the West Coast before telling Cardinal coach David Shaw of his intentions.
"All I've been doing all my life is keeping my nose in the text books, and on the football field, and I'm loving where I'm at cause of it," Simmons wrote on his twitter account.
Simmons (6-0, 175) reportedly received offers from over 40 colleges, including seven other Pac-12 schools.
The junior at Timberview High School in Arlington, Texas is ranked among the top recruits at his position.
