Jamie Nurenberg is the latest commit to the Menlo College women's volleyball team.
The 6-foot-1 middle blocker joins the Lady Oaks following a successful stint with American River College in Sacramento where her team was ranked in the top eight in junior colleges in Northern California.
Nurenberg redshirted as a freshman and will join Menlo as a junior academically, but a sophomore in athletic eligibility.
Prior to her time with American River College, Nurenberg was a three-year letter winner at Roseville High School while also playing for a CRV 18-1 team that earned the 2011 JSA regional championship.
"Jamie plays smart and aggressive at the net, making our offense more dynamic," Menlo coach Atlee Hubbard said. "She brings great energy and enthusiasm for the sport as well as her academic goals. I'm looking forward to watching her succeed at Menlo."
Menlo College dropped a doubleheader Tuesday, 4-3 and 12-3, to visiting William Jessup in a Cal Pac Conference contest.
In game one, Menlo led until a three-run top of the sixth inning gave the Warriors the edge.
In game two, William Jessup scored 12 runs on 15 hits, including two home runs.
Menlo falls to 15-21 (4-6) while William Jessup betters their record to 23-13 (5-5).
