Unconventional post-high-school paths will be explored Thursday, Feb. 21, in a Gunn High School panel discussion titled "OMG! I Forgot to Apply to Harvard!"
The evening will include discussion with the graduates of several high schools "who have not followed the typical path after high school yet have fulfilling lives," organizers said.
"A key theme of the night is that success and a fulfilling life come in many different forms and that every child needs to discover where his/her passion intersects with education and career," according to an e-mail that was sent to Gunn families.
The evening will be sponsored by the Gunn chapter of Challenge Success, a Stanford University-based group that researches and promotes tools to raise healthy, motivated kids without excessive focus on grades, test scores and performance.
The discussion, which is open to the community, begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Gunn Library, 780 Arastradero Road.
