The Palo Alto Board of Education will discuss its annual goals in an all-day retreat at the Garden Court Hotel in downtown Palo Alto Thursday, Jan. 10.
The open-session agenda includes discussion of board protocols and annual goals. Moderating the discussion will be Rene Townsend, a former school-district superintendent in southern California who is now a consultant with Leadership Associates.
Thursday's retreat begins with an open forum at 8:30 a.m., at which community members may address the board for up to three minutes.
The board will adjourn to closed session at 3:15 p.m., when members will discuss a mid-year evaluation for Superintendent Kevin Skelly.
