Kids: Harmonica workshop with Catfish Jack

Participants learn to play harmonica with Catfish Jack. They learn simple melodies and how to create their own unique "train" sounds. The first 20 attendees receive a harmonica. Others are welcome to bring their own. For ages 6 and up. Today, Sept. 24, 4-5 p.m. at Atherton Library, 2 Dinkelspiel Station Lane, Atherton. Go to smcl.org.

Politics: OMVNA City Council candidate forum

Attendees can visit one-on-one with the Mountain View City Council candidates and listen to a forum in which they will respond to questions submitted by the audience and community members. The event is tomorrow, Sept. 24, 7-8:30 p.m. at Mountain View Library, 585 Franklin St., Mountain View. Go to omvna.org.
