A man who stole $10 worth of food from a CVS pharmacy could face strong-arm robbery charges after engaging in a struggle with the store manager, Palo Alto police said.
The man entered the store at 352 University Ave. in downtown Palo Alto on Monday, Aug. 6, at about 8:50 a.m. He allegedly took several items, Sgt. Patty Lum said. The manager confronted him as he attempted to leave the store and the struggle ensued. The manager was slightly lacerated during the incident and the man escaped with the merchandise, Lum said.
The man is described as Caucasian, in his 40s or 50s, about 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has black or black and graying hair and rode westbound from the store on a red, white and blue bicycle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Palo Alto Police Department at 650-329-2413.
