Playing catch

Six "brides" practiced bouquet-tossing and catching Saturday at Bowden Park in Palo Alto, as budding photographers worked to capture the moments.

The exercise was part of a Bridal Portfolio Workshop aimed at helping wedding photographers boost their skills -- and their businesses as well. The all-day, $250 workshop -- classroom in the morning, park in the afternoon -- was organized by Keeble & Shuchat and freelance photographer Paul Lucia.
