Woodside resident Ryan Ferrari, 21, has been identified by the San Mateo County Coroner's Office as the man who died early Saturday after his car hit two trees and another vehicle before flipping.
Ferrari was headed home at about 2:30 a.m. when he crashed in the 200 block of Woodside Drive, San Mateo County sheriff's Sgt. Wes Matsuura reported.
Ferrari lost control of his vehicle, went into the opposite lanes and hit a tree then another tree before crashing into an oncoming car driven by a Redwood City resident, Matsurra said.
The vehicle spun out and flipped, and Ferrari was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the other vehicle, Jerad Tondino, was found to be under the influence and booked for DUI, Matsuura said.
Tondino was not injured in the collision
and was not at fault for the crash, Matsurra said.
