Man killed in East Palo Alto was from Fremont

The young man shot and killed late Thursday afternoon in East Palo Alto has been identified by the San Mateo County Coroner's office as Anthony Pickrom, 17, of Fremont.

After getting calls of shots fired, East Palo Alto police found Pickrom near Camellia Drive and Pulgas Avenue just before 5 p.m. He had been shot twice in his chest and was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Police found a red sedan stolen from Redwood City that may have been used in the shooting. Witnesses told police that three men in their 20s, wearing black clothing, chased and shot Pickrom.

The shooting was East Palo Alto's first homicide of the year.

If something like this happened in Palo Alto the city would be in an uproar. However, a dead teenager in E.P.A. gets little note from people in Palo Alto. It's time people realize that what happens in E.P.A. is only a freeway away.

I wont them three to get the death row they didnt have to take my son away from me so i hope when they get them im sitting in the court room .
