Palo Alto school board candidates' forum tonight

Public is invited to Q-and-A session at Ross Road YMCA

Palo Alto residents can direct questions and concerns toward Palo Alto Unified School District school board candidates at a major forum from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight (Friday).

The "Come Meet the Palo Alto School Board Candidates" forum will be held at the Palo Alto Family YMCA, 3412 Ross Road.

Nationally known dispute-management specialist Nancy Yeend will moderate the panel discussion. She will also ask candidates to respond to questions compiled from the Silicon Valley Moms Blog, a co-sponsor of the forum. Participants can comment about the schools and suggest questions for the forum at http://svmomblog.typepad.com/silicon_valley_moms_blog/2007/10/draft-come-meet.html .

Candidates Camille Townsend, Ping Yu Liu, Barbara Klausner, Wynn Hausser, Claude Ezran and Melissa Baten Caswell will attend.

The event is co-sponsored by the Palo Alto-Menlo Park Parents Club, Silicon Valley Moms Blog, Palo Alto Chinese Education and the Palo Alto Family YMCA.

Why was this Forum given front page status as a news item, but none of the other 14 or so Forums? Was it just a matter of writing something up and submitting it?

Can you please also Advertise the remaining Forums? There is one coming up Monday at Terman, for example, from 7-9 pm.

Was this the forum that Grace Mah helped organize?
