Palo Alto market robbed by four men

Four young men walked into the SOS Market at 941 Emerson St. in Palo Alto shortly before 8 p.m. Friday and robbed the owner of a small amount of cash, Police Sgt. Sandra Brown said.

Two of the men ran to the back of store and stole several cartons of alcohol while another man showed a knife to the store owner and demanded cash.

When the owner could not open the cash drawer of the register, two of the men broke it open and took the money inside.

The four men appeared to be Pacific Islanders, between the ages of 18 and 25. All were wearing dark clothing, including hooded sweatshirts and baggy jeans. Two of the men had long, bushy, Afro-style hair, Brown said.

The four men ran to a waiting car.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Palo Alto Police Department's tip line at 650-329-2190.

What with all the deletions? This was proving to be a very entertaining thread. I think we need one.
