With no incumbents, the race for four seats on the Palo Alto City Council will pit connected political newcomers against those with less name recognition.
Eleven confirmed candidates and one potential last-minute filer will appear on the Nov. 6 ballot, according to City Clerk staff member Tabatha Boatwright.
The filing period closed at 5 p.m. today.
Candidates include: Pat Burt, Dan Dykwel, Sid Espinosa, Victor Frost, Timothy Gray, Debbie Mytels, Mark Nadim, William Ross, Greg Schmid, Smokey Wallace and Yiaway Yeh. Stella Marinos filed Wednesday and has not yet been confirmed by Santa Clara County officials, Boatwright said.
