Ladera Oaks
3249 Alpine Road, Portola Valley. Family-oriented swim, tennis and fitness club with two year-round pools, six lighted tennis courts, a fitness center and sports activity lawns. Stanford Campus Recreation Assn. (SCRA)
875 Bowdoin St. at Stanford Avenue , Stanford. 25-yard pool, seven tennis courts (three lit for night play) for faculty, senior staff and their families. SCRA offers many programs to its member families. The swim program offers a year-round USS swim team for children as well as summer swim lessons. The tennis program offers both private and group lessons for children and adults year round and also features junior and adult leagues and tournaments. Call 650-857-9521.

Atherton Tennis Center

City of Mountain View, Recreation Division Tennis
Mtn. View. 35 Tennis courts are featured at the following parks: Cooper, Cuesta (lighted courts), Rengstorff (lighted courts), Stevenson, Sylvan, Whisman. All walk-on courts. Reservations at Cuesta are taken for $7.25 per hour for residents and $10.75 per hour for non-residents. Mountain View residents can play free if they sign up on the waiting list at the Cuesta Tennis Pro Shop. Non-residents playing on a non-reserved court with a resident pay $1.25 per hour. Menlo Park
Tennis keys may be purchased at the Burgess Recreation Center; keys are issued after Jan. 15 of each year and are valid through Jan. 14 of the following year. Fee is $45 per year ($100 for non-residents). Keys are valid for courts at Burgess Park, La Entrada School, Willow Oaks Park, Hillview School, Nealon Park and Belle Haven School. Call 650-330-2200.

Mountain View Tennis Club
P.O. Box 336, Mtn. View. The club, with 300 members, organizes tournaments, ladders, competition, social events and USTA league play. Courts are reserved at Cuesta Park from 6-8 p.m. on Friday nights from April-Oct for umbrella drop-in tennis. Membership is $25 for Mtn. Palo Alto. The City of Palo Alto has 12 tennis-court sites and 1 paddle-ball court site. Public tennis courts are available at Rinconada Park, 777 Embarcadero Road (6 with lights, 3 w/o lights); Mitchell Park, 600 E. Meadow Drive (7 courts); Cubberley, 4000 Middlefield Road (6 courts); Hoover Park, 2901 Cowper St. (2 courts); Peers Park, 1899 Park Blvd.(2 courts); Terman Park, 655 Arastradero Road (4 courts); Weisshaar Park, 2298 Dartmouth (2 courts); as well as Palo Alto and Gunn high schools and Jordan and JLS middle schools.
