Foothill College Observatory
12345 El Monte Road, Los Altos Hills. Operated by Peninsula Astronomical Society. View stars, planets and galaxies through a 16-inch reflecting telescope on clear Friday nights from 9-11 p.m. Also open Sat 10 a.m.-noon for solar viewing using a new hydrogen-alpha solar telescope. Free pubic viewing. Closed when cloudy. Observatory next to Parking lot #4. Bring $3 for parking permit. Call 650-949-7334.
