Palo Alto. The Palo Alto Weekly and Palo Alto Recreation Department are co-sponsors of the Annual Moonlight Run & Walk. The 28th annual event will take place the Friday closest to the full moon, Sept. 28, 2012. Call 650-326-8210 or 650-463-4920.

Palo Alto. Sponsors evening runs Monday through Thursday year-round and long distance runs on Saturday mornings. Also sponsors trail runs first weekend of the month, featuring moderately hilly runs at different parks in the area with potluck tailgate brunch afterward. Membership $25/year.
