Community Garden Program
3201 E. Bayshore Road, Palo Alto. Palo Alto's community garden program is open to residents only, who will do organic gardening only (no herbicides or pesticides allowed). Community gardens include the main garden, adjacent to the main library branch at 1313 Newell Road, with about 150 plots; Eleanor Pardee Garden, at the corner of Channing Avenue and Center Drive, with 65 plots; Johnson Park Garden, at Kipling and Pine, with 29 plots.

Elizabeth F. Gamble Garden
1431 Waverley St., Palo Alto. A 2.5-acre estate with gardens and 1902 Colonial/Georgian Revival house. Self-guided tours free to public. Formal, woodland and demonstration gardens. Garden classes, monthly luncheons in main house, special events, master gardener hotline and plant clinics. Facilities available for social and business events.

Rengstorff House at Shoreline Park
3070 N. Shoreline Blvd., Mtn. View. Traditional Victorian-era garden at the historic Rengstorff House with many roses of the period. Popular site for organization events and weddings. Docent-led tours.
