A service-oriented, nonprofit center that provides senior community-service work, family-oriented services, and information and referral services since 1968. English and Cantonese. El Camino YMCA
2400 Grant Road, Mtn. View. Facilities: Three group-exercise studios, cardiovascular and free-weight rooms with a park view, full gymnasium, locker rooms, outdoor instructional pool and lap pool, teen center, youth center. Offerings: Massage therapy, personal trainers and nutritionists, onsite child watch, fitness classes for active older adults, youth summer camp, youth sports, swim lessons for all ages, youth swim team, more than 100 weekly group exercise classes such as yoga, cycling, zumba and more. IFES Portuguese Society Community Center
432 Stierlin Road, Mtn. View. Hosts events for the Portuguese community, such as the Crab Cioppino Dinner Dance, held several times a year. Also celebrates Fiesta of the Holy Ghost in May. Gathering hall available for rentals.

Lewis and Joan Platt East Palo Alto Family YMCA
550 Bell St., East Palo Alto. A LEED gold-certified green building featuring a state-of-the-art fitness center with cardiovascular and strength-training equipment, full-court gymnasium, group exercise studios offering classes such as cycling, yoga and zumba, outdoor pool, onsite child watch and indoor rock-climbing wall. Afterschool tutoring programs, basketball leagues, soccer and summer day camp are also available for youth and teens. Oshman Family Jewish Community Center

Little House is a multipurpose activity center offering a wide variety of recreational, education and cultural activities, including classes, lifelong learning courses and workshops, monthly art and cultural lectures, recreational activities (including trips and tours), weekly movies and a computer center. Also offers information and referrals regarding social service issues. Lunch is served Mon-Fri. Annual membership is $50.
