JobTrain (formerly Opportunities Industrialization Center West -- OICW)
1200 O'Brien Drive, Menlo Park. Works with 7,000 people a year in job-training placement programs, ESL and basic skills/GED classes, youth programs, Peninsula/Works One-Stop Center and more. Vocational-training programs: office skills, culinary arts, construction, telecommunications, computer-service technician, medical-office assistant, certified-nurse assistant and acute care. Teen programs: after school, summer internships and others. The JobTrain Child Development Center in East Palo Alto serves 40 children and the Toddler Center in Menlo Park serves 12.
