Bikes on board Just hop on and take your bike aboard the northern-most cab car, marked with a yellow and black bike decal on the outside. Only 32 bikes per bike car (16 on Baby Bullets) allowed. Cyclists should prominently display destination tags to indicate where they are getting off. Holidays included. There are bicycle locker rentals for a six-month rental fee plus $25 refundable key deposit ($58). Application required, as space is limited and there is a waiting list at some stations. It operates Mon-Fri from approximately 5 a.m.-11 p.m. Also limited weekday commuter-hour service from Gilroy to San Francisco. Fares of one-way tickets from Palo Alto or Menlo Park to San Francisco, $6; from Menlo Park or Palo Alto to San Jose $4.25. Tickets must be purchased before boarding. Ten-ride and monthly tickets are available, with discounts for seniors (65 and up), youths 17 and younger, and people with disabilities.
