Springer Art docent show

'From the Earth, into the Sky' Exhibit

'Bodie' Photo Exhibit by Aki Mori
Aki Mori’s digital color photography, "Bodie," will be on display at Gallery 9 in Los Altos. Bodie was a busy gold mine center in late 1870 through the early 1890s. 'Japan Revisited' Photo Exhibit

SVOS event at Siegel Studios

'Royal Image: Portraits, Satires, and Life at Court'
The 16 prints and drawings featured in this installation demonstrate how artists depicted European royalty and courtly culture between the 15th and 18th centuries. 'The Honest Landscape': Photographs by Peter Henry Emerson
Peter Henry Emerson began taking photographs in 1882 in England and soon became an outspoken advocate for fine art photography. This installation presents a selection of Emerson's platinum prints and photogravures featuring the English and Irish countryside. 'Rise Again' photo exhibit
The "Rise Again" exhibit is composed of photographs taken by Roger Spinti in the aftermath of the Haiyan Typhoon. There will have a special reception on April 26. All proceeds from sales from this exhibit will go to help the victims of the typhoon, with funds to be channeled to victims' communities by Catholic Relief Services. Until May 20, 1-4 p.m. Free. The artists of Viewpoints Gallery celebrate summer with an all gallery group show. '85 Years 85 Artists' exhibit
Menlo College looks at the past 85 years through the eyes of artists. Artists from around the world were randomly assigned a year to illustrate. The "85 Years 85 Artists" exhibit has participating artists in 21 states, plus the Netherlands, England and Italy. 'Capturing Light: The World as We See It'
"Capturing Light" is a judged exhibit and sale of 50 prints by members of the Palo Alto Camera Club, including 12 photos taken in Havana, Cuba. A percentage of proceeds from print sales will go to Cultural Kaleidoscope, a City of Palo Alto program supporting art in local schools.
