The Atherton Arts Foundation will host a community art show at Holbrook-Palmer Park, which will feature kinetic art, sculpture, jewelry and more. All are welcome. Sept. 11, 4-7:30 p.m. Free. Holbrook-Palmer Park, Jennings Pavilion, 150 Watkins Ave., Atherton.
Gallery House will next be home to an exhibit of mixed-media and watercolor paintings by artists Nance Wheeler and Patricia Nojima, entitled "Dichotomy: Abstracted Science and Lyrical Landscapes." On Aug. 28, 6-8 p.m., there will be a reception with the artists. Aug. 25-Sept. 19, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Free. Gallery House, 320 S. California Ave., Palo Alto.
Art Galleries'Favorite Places and New Beginnings'
In the show "Favorite Places and New Beginnings," Nancy Wulff will share new watercolor paintings that provide impressions of the beauty and essence of their subjects. Art Galleries'Impressions' by Jared Sines
The Portola Art Gallery will present a selection of Jared Sines' oil paintings of places and still lifes, "Impressions." Some of the artist's favorite subjects are pictured, including the fountains and flowers of the Allied Arts Guild and the waterways of Venice. Monday-Saturday, Sept. 1-30, 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Free.
